Bilastine Tablet – This tablet is an antihistamine that blocks the actions of natural chemicals in the body which is known as histamine. It is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis like nasal congestion, itchy nose, streaming eyes, sneezing, nasal secretion, and several other allergic rhinitis. This antihistamine is also used to heal rashes and itchy skin, i.e. urticaria or wheals. It is available at Glamris Dermacare with the brand name BILAZIL 20.

How to Take Bilastine Tablet?

Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Consume this tablet 2 hours prior to the meal. Do not have any other food in between the interval. The common adult dosage of Bilastine Tablet is one tablet of 20 mg per day. Adolescents of age 12 years or above can also take this dosage.  Before taking this tablet, talk to the doctor or pharmacist to know the exact dosage of the medicine. This medicine is not recommended to children of an age of fewer than 12 years. If a person is unable to swallow this tablet as a whole, he can split it into two parts and then consume them one by one.

Major Points to Keep in Mind While Consuming Bilastine Tablet

1. 1. Before consuming this tablet, females must consult their doctor if they are pregnant or breastfeeding, or even intending to get pregnant.
   2. One should not give this medication to someone else even if they encounter the same symptoms. They should take this tablet only if their doctor prescribes them.
   3. Do not overdose on this medication in order to get immediate results. It will actually harm your health.
   4. Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you get any serious side effects after having this drug.
